di donato guitars hasaki aurum

This is my first collaboration with Enrico. I could not be more thrilled. I decided early on to let him lead the way and follow his inspiration. I knew from previous builds that he had great instincts, vision and the skills to bring them to life.

Hasaki - from Kaz Goto (Jersey Girl homemade guitars) “Yes, Hasaki means “cutting edge”. Usually means especially tip point of the sword.”

Aurum - Aurum Naturae

His first choice was the flamed poplar body. The neck woods are flamed walnut and ziricote. They work wonderfully together - adorned with a gold foil truss rod channel cover and Murano glass side dot markers (see the link for more information re the history of this legendary glass.

He is known for his use of an aluminum spine and appointments in his builds. I’ve found them to be remarkably musical additions to the instrument.

Soon we discussed pickups and he suggested we go with his single coil design, which sound fabulous.

The guitar is remarkably touch-sensitive, candidly a welcome discovery.
